Georgian walnut chest on chest in two parts, the coved cornice above six small and four graduated drawers, the lower section with three graduated long drawers, double reeded molding between all drawers and sides. All drawers cross-banded with walnut, raised on shaped bracket feet. Old replaced engraved brass backplates with swan neck handles. English Victorian Lacquered Wardrobe

Victorian black lacquered and gilded birch wardrobe with eight very high quality papier mache and mother of pearl inlaid panels in chinoiserie motifs. The panels are most likely by Jennens and Bettridge. The carved and gilded cornice and door panel moldings are in Persian designs. Two right-hand doors, one with full-length mirror, open to reveal linen press with four sliding trays above two short and one long drawer. Left-hand door reveals hanging cupboard.
