Most unusual, elegant and very fine period Regency mahogany sofa table with carved reeding around top edge and hinged flaps. two removable leaves in top revealing leather backgammon board in center well. The frieze has carved diamond-shaped molding and reeding, double ring-turned supports raised on reeded splayed legs with brass paw casters connected by ring-turned and beehive carved stretcher. Because of the two leaves and two flaps, the table can be used in six different size positions.
